VI International Water Conference in Cannes (France)

The major subject of this international conference, attended by representatives of 62 countries, consisted of three tasks.
- water and sustainable development , including the following task groups:
- methods of water treatment, such as nanofiltration, microfiltration, reverse osmosis, new membranes for various purposes,
- prognoses and activities in case of special emergencies, including flood protection,
- monitoring of waters, including methods using satellites,
- underground waters, including migrations and new methods for underground waters intakes,
- tools for marine environment management, including clean wet docks and international agreements for bay cleanliness,
- water supply for rural areas, including individual water purification systems,
- establishment of water management institutions,
- water management and high quality of environment,
- water and health,
- water and society.
Conference was an important , scientific and business , international water forum.
This year it was attended by Polish delegation, lead by Main Environmental Inspector - Minister Krzysztof Zaręba,. accompanied by our representative - "Hydroprojekt's" Vice-president and Technical Director Mr. Ryszard Lewandowski who presented designs being currently elaborated in "Hydroprojekt" during session on flood risks, flood protection and warning systems.
 At the time of the Conference, international prizes "Prix Internationaux de Cannes et de l'Eau" were being granted for activities related to water. Prize in category of companies, in form of the gold statuette, has been granted this year to our company for (among others) flood protection solutions
